Douglas W. Eyre
Doug W. Eyre is a seasoned attorney and brings a breadth of experience to every matter he handles. After an externship with a federal appellate judge, he began his career at one of Michigan’s oldest and most prestigious law firms, specializing in construction, real estate, and commercial litigation. Mr. Eyre built a reputation within his firm and among its clients as an attorney who understood his clients’ business goals and defined success by obtaining results that provided value for them.
Mr. Eyre was recruited by one of those clients, a national bank and mortgage company, and assumed an in-house role where his skills expanded to include contract drafting and operational management. Mr. Eyre instituted legal project management processes that drastically reduced legal spending and improved results over his tenure. He also became an active member of the Business Section of the American Bar Association where he is a frequent contributor and speaker. This past year, he was an editor on the ABA’s publication of The Business Courts Benchbook: Procedures and Best Practices in Business and Commercial Cases.
Ultimately, Mr. Eyre’s desire to litigate drew him back to private practice and he joined McAlpine, PC in 2016. He continues to define his success by providing results to his clients that add value to their businesses. Mr. Eyre litigates from coast to coast, presently having matters in the Southern District of New York, the Chancery Court of Delaware, and Northern District of California.
